Samabhavana

our motto

Dignity in Life

What dignity means to us

Dignity isn’t possible unless a person’s essential worth is accepted — by others, and by themselves. It’s what allows someone to face life with confidence instead of fear, and to build toward something instead of just surviving it.

That’s not abstract for us. It’s the standard every programme is measured against.

Who we exist to protect

Samabhavana exists to preserve the dignity of people pushed to the margins — by gender, age, sexual orientation, or psychosocial circumstance. Our work is aimed directly at the abuse, violence, and exploitation that happens when one person holds power — of money, status, gender, or age — over another.

Every child, regardless of privilege or circumstance, has a fundamental right to childhood. Protecting that right from abuse of power is not optional — it’s a society’s duty, and it’s ours.

Our commitment

Every individual has a fundamental right to a dignified life, and to the freedom to express who they are. Our policies on environmental health and safety, child protection, diversity, and non-discrimination apply to everyone we work with — regardless of gender, class, age, disability, religion, language, or background.

“The right to the exercise of freedom belongs to everyone, because it is inseparable from his or her dignity as a human person.”
