Education CSR Programmes
Education
Section 135, Schedule VII of the Companies Act names education — including special education, employment-enhancing vocational skills, and livelihood enhancement — as an eligible CSR activity. This is where we implement it: digital literacy, STEM and robotics infrastructure, child safety education, and school infrastructure.
SMILE HUB: STEM, Robotics, AI, IoT, and Astronomy
SMILE HUB is a 360° learning setup combining STEM, Robotics, AI, IoT, Astronomy, and a Smart Digital Classroom in one government school installation, mapped to NEP-2020’s direction on experiential learning, coding, and AI education.
What’s actually installed: 150 STEM models and DIY kits across primary through senior grades, 23 robotics models including a drone and a 3D printer, and a 7x7ft “India in Space” wall museum with 25+ authentic ISRO mission artifacts covering the journey from Aryabhatta to Gaganyaan. Students and teachers work through hands-on projects and team challenges, with our team providing ongoing mentorship rather than a one-time installation.
POCSO: Child Safety Education
We run Parent-Teacher-Student seminars on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, completed in 300 schools across Mumbai, with workshops ongoing across these schools.
The programme covers five areas: awareness sessions for students, parents, and teachers on recognising and reporting abuse; sensitisation training for staff to identify signs of abuse and respond appropriately; a code of conduct governing behaviour for all staff, students, and visitors; a confidential reporting mechanism for students and parents; and access to trained counsellors for students affected by abuse.
School Infrastructure
Renovation
We've renovated 3 schools and solarized 3 schools to date — repairing classrooms, libraries, and administrative facilities, and upgrading school premises with modern educational resources including computers and projectors.
Playgrounds
We assess existing playground facilities, renovate or install play structures to safety standards, and supply sports equipment and play materials — building spaces designed for physical fitness, teamwork, and inclusive access for students of all abilities.
Libraries
We've set up 3 school libraries — renovating the physical space, cataloguing and expanding book collections across fiction, non-fiction, and reference material, and equipping libraries with computers and internet access for digital learning.
