Samabhavana was founded in Mumbai in 2000, certified by the Maharashtra Charity Commissioner’s office. Our earliest work wasn’t CSR — it was direct advocacy: the country’s first study on the sexual exploitation of migrant adolescents, HIV/AIDS intervention programmes supported by UNAIDS and vocational training for youth who had been sexually exploited, in partnership with LOVE146.org.
That grassroots foundation is what today’s CSR implementation work is built on. STEM education partnerships began in 2016. PRISM — India’s first CSR dialogue platform — launched in 2013. Since 2018, we’ve scaled Mini Science Centres and SMILE HUB deployments across 15+ states, for over 50 corporate and PSU partners.
Samabhavana holds registration and recognition from the Maharashtra Charity Commissioner, Niti Aayog, and IICA (Ministry of Corporate Affairs), with 80G, 12A, and CSR1 certification. Every programme is documented for audit and MCA-compliant impact reporting from day one.
Our work spans six areas: STEM education (SMILE HUB), health, skill development, vocational training, women empowerment, and diversity and inclusivity — including POSH and POCSO awareness training for corporate and civil society partners. Since 2013, PRISM has convened government, corporates, and civil society through India’s first CSR dialogue podcast.
Our work centers on individuals pushed to the margins by socio-economic, gender, age, or psychosocial disadvantage — with policies covering environmental health and safety, child protection, diversity, and non-discrimination across every programme we run, regardless of gender, class, age, disability, religion, or background.
Tell us your mandate, your budget, and your states — we’ll show you exactly how 25 years of on-ground delivery turns into audit-ready impact.
